The CounterFlow Impeller excels in transitional and laminar flow applications, delivering minimal blend times and excellent product homogeneity—even as viscosity changes over time.

Many processes cross flow regime boundaries, and the CounterFlow Impeller is engineered to maintain optimal blending performance through viscosity swings and process upsets. Laboratory testing of client samples is available to validate performance.

Superior Mixing in Deep Laminar Flow

The CounterFlow mixer has demonstrated exceptional results in deep laminar flow—traditionally dominated by helical ribbons and anchor impellers. In applications where wall scraping is not required, the CounterFlow design allows for a smaller gearbox and lower power input, resulting in superior mixing efficiency.

Reynolds numbers as low as 0.1 have been successfully mixed, outperforming ribbon technologies.
