The SI2 safety valve is spring-loaded and full-stroke certified for safe handling of fluids and gases. It is ideal for hygienic and clean-in-place (CIP) applications across various industries.
Key Advantages
Design and Cleanability
Hygienic construction with smooth internal surfaces (Ra ≤ 0.8 µm)
Suitable for CIP applications with optimal flow-through design
Quick and easy seal replacement simplifies maintenance
Operation and Control
Pneumatic or manual operation options
Pneumatic seat lifting device supports proximity switch integration for position feedback
Each valve uniquely identified via nameplate for easy traceability
Performance and Safety
Pressure Control Functionality
The SI2 valve ensures operating pressures do not exceed the set threshold by more than 10%. Upon reaching this pressure, the valve opens. It recloses when pressure drops below:
10% for gas applications
20% for liquid applications
Materials and Sizes
Construction Materials
All product-contact parts are manufactured from AISI 316L / DIN EN 1.4404 stainless steel to ensure corrosion resistance and long-lasting sanitary performance.
Nominal Dimensions
Available sizes: DN 25 – DN 100
Actuator Warranty & Reliability
The actuator supplied with this valve is covered by a 5-year actuator warranty, or up to 1 million actuations, whichever comes first. Built with fully welded, sealed, maintenance-free construction, it eliminates internal servicing and reduces wear components to deliver long-term durability in demanding hygienic processing environments.
Key benefits include:
Maintenance-free operation with no internal servicing
Fewer spare parts and improved total cost of ownership
uptime and production continuity
Key Applications
Field of Application
The TÜV type-test approved valve is used at pressure vessels which have to be protected against excessive pressure. In the beverage and food industry as well as in pharmaceutical applications, the valve safeguards tanks and other containers against inadmissible excess pressure.
